DR
SUSAN RICHARDS played by JUDY LYNNE
Dr
Susan Richards was a total professional, even if some of her
colleagues thought her too thorough, spending too much time with
her patients. Susan was not lucky in love, an infatuation with Dr
Tony Garcia led nowhere, and flirtations with other doctors such
as Ben Fielding and Brett Sterling ultimately came to nothing.
Susan
discovered she had a half sister, Erica Hoffman, who later married
Dr Raymond Shaw.
Judy
Lynne was born in America and majored in drama, and radio and
television production at North Western University in Chicago. She
was trained in ballet and choreography, starring on the New York
stage, before moving to Australia and becoming a weather girl for
Channel 9.
While
playing Susan Richards, she worked as a reporter and assistant producer
on Channel 9's Weekend Magazine, then became assistant producer
on the evening news programme. She also studied astrology and wrote
a weekly horoscope column for TV Week.
Judy
also competed in the Great Tiger Moth Air Race and set up the hot
air ballon company, Balloon Aloft.
