EPISODE 901

John Forrest overhears Drs Kirby and Brand arguing and gathers that they may have a lot to do with the mysterious deaths in Theatre 5. Melanie gives Mike Newman the chance to opt out of their wedding.

EPISODE 902

Brian Denham is given proof that the surgery deaths were deliberately contrived. Liz tells Vivienne Jeffries she can forget she ever had a sister.

EPISODE 903

Mark Holland, concerned by the seriousness of the secret tests he has been doing for Dr Denham, begins to realise his suspicions could be right - but he can't make Julie see what sort of person she's turning into.

EPISODE 904

Liz is determined to pursue her relationship with Nick Robson despite the appearance of his wife on the scene. Another person is mugged on the hospital premises. This time it is Vivienne Jeffries.

EPISODE 905

Sister Norma Campbell, stepping into Vivienne Jeffries' shoes as Deputy Matron, proves to be too much of a disciplinarian. Jody ignores warnings not to get over-involved with Sam Wilkinson and discovers too late he is engaged to someone else.

EPISODE 906

Holland learns that the next step in Sam Wilkinson's plan to increase his influence on the hospital board is to marry the chairman's daughter.

EPISODE 907

Gael steals a dress hoping it will make her attractive to Holland, but he continues to avoid her. Denham continues to involve Mark in a series of mysterious tests while Helen and Jeffries become alerted to the state of his health.

There is a surprise ending to the rivalry between Peter Holland and Sam Wilkinson over the new Registrar's appointment while self-defence lessons for the nurses are included in the training scheme.

Mark clearly has weighty problems, related to mysterious phone calls. The emotional spark is once again rekindled between Liz Kennedy and John Forrest.

EPISODE 910

Things become strained between Dennis and Caroline as time passes and there is no indication that she is going to have a baby. The feud between Vivienne Jeffries and Norma Campbell comes to a head. There can only be one Deputy Matron!

EPISODE 911

Denham is relieved to discover that nothing is seriously wrong with him, while Grant Walker saves Virginia from attack and then collapses.

EPISODE 912

Louise Fielding decides to organise Ben's life and hires a housekeeper with uproarious results. To Virginia's consternation, Grant Walker is invited to join the hospital staff as a security man by her father.

The car rally does not go as smoothly as planned and Helen's home goes up in flames.

EPISODE 914

The only copy of a valuable hospital document is destroyed by the fire at Helen's home in which Gael Hogan is implicated. Caroline shocks Dennis by telling him he may be unable to father children.

Louise Fielding, surprised by some uninvited guests, turns out to be the perfect hostess - assisted by her tireless housekeeper. Mark refuses to tell Julie why he has withdrawn large sums of money from their joint bank account.

Norma Campbell continues to undermine Vivienne Jeffries' self-confidence amidst mounting speculation as to who will be the Albert's new matron, while Ada unexpectedly learns the disturbing truth about Gael.

Peter Holland and Ada are forced to confront Gael, while Helen Gordon discovers that the destruction of her home by fire has caused her more trouble than she is prepared to meet.

EPISODE 918

Vivienne Jeffries is brought to the point where she believes Norma Campbell is only a step away from becoming the Albert's new matron, while Louise Fielding springs a surprise on Mike Newman that he hadn't bargained for.

Virginia Mason returns from her holiday completely distracted by thoughts of the man of her dreams, while Mark Holland puzzles and infuriates his family, friends and colleagues with his slapdash work and unexplained disappearances.

Liz Kennedy becomes convinced that Mike Newman's sleepwalking indicates a profound disturbance looked deep in his psyche, while Virginia discovers that the man of her dreams has joined the staff as Assistant Chaplain.

Luke Ryan wins approval all round but confuses Virginia with his flirtatiousness, while Liz Kennedy offers more than comfort to Mike Newman.

Peter Holland arrives with a head injury which proves to be a talking point, while Norma Campbell accuses Vivienne Jeffries of stealing her application for the matron's job.

Normal Campbell continues to harass Caroline, which infuriates Dennis, while Helen Gordon is forced to announce devastating news to Raymond Shaw.

EPISODE 924

Mark Holland, close to cracking under strain, alerts Julie's suspicions. Raymond Shaw comes to terms with the fact that he must now face life alone.

EPISODE 925

Peter Holland is baffled when a child develops symptoms unrelated to the medical problem for which she's being treated, while Mark, pressured at home and at work, finally tells Julie he's moving out of the flat.
