Jill Gordon meets her mother's new lodger to her great surprise. Dr Denham tells Dr Steele that he has to continue the treatment to Laura - despite the obvious effects it's having on her.

Arthur Simmonds has decided to go ahead with his operation despite Ada's opposition. Is it worth it? Over at Bunny's Place, Edna finds that someone has been stealing from the till and Martin is her obvious suspect.

A young lady who goes under the name of "Bubbles" becomes a problem for Dr Shaw. The new young doctor - Susan Richards, makes a surprising and eventful appearance.

Dr Shaw enlists Dr Rothwell's help with his big problem. Are the photographs for real? If they are - there could be big trouble. A beautiful casualty victim is brought in requiring all the skills of Dr Shaw, but Dr Rothwell has to step in.

EPISODE 80

Sir Thomas Kendall discovers the truth about the operation on his daughter and doesn't like it one bit. Martin and Dennis are threatened by a gambling syndicate in which they have become involved, and Dennis comes off second best. A new Laura Denham emerges and leaves.

EPISODE 81

Dennis and Martin are in real financial trouble. They take the only way out they can and it takes them deeper and deeper. Dr Shaw realises that only drastic action can save his reputation. And once more Craig Rothwell is involved.

Deborah Kendall is making a swift and sure recovery which she insists is only due to Dr Craig Rothwell's administrations. She makes him an offer he finds difficult to refuse. And Dr Shaw plays his last card in his gamble with Miss "Bubbles."

Dr Susan Richards is still coming in for heavy criticism from Dr Steele over the time she spends with patients. But she justifies herself in no uncertain manner. Julie is certainly not her usual self and when the cause is discovered, it's not very pleasant.

EPISODE 84

Tomorrow is Arthur Simmonds big day and Ada is not looking forward to it one little bit. Dr Steele and Julie's big dinner date doesn't go as planned. Back in Bunny's Place Maureen and Martin are getting on well - very well together.

EPISODE 85

Dr Denham has to break some news to Julie. She is horrified - but she may have to accept the only way out - even if she dislikes the idea. And the results of Arthur Simmonds' operation are posted. Ada can't wait to see them.

Dr Steele and Nurse Julie Warner's evening together has ended abruptly. Julie has to face the truth - she's a very ill girl. And Sister Scott receives yet another letter - and also a package.

Sister Scott decides to get rid of the person she suspects of sending the anonymous notes and packages. And it seems to be good news for Dennis - on the surface. But he still has his gambling debt to pay off and the deadline draws near.

Sister Scott is no longer the only one getting anonymous letters. It seems that someone intends to involve everyone in the hospital. And Deborah and Sir Thomas Kendall continue to try and lure Dr Craig Rothwell away from the Albert Memorial Hospital.

Laura Denham returns from Melbourne a very different Laura. Maureen and Martin are getting a little too friendly and Edna intervenes. Dr Steele's family skeletons start to emerge from the cupboard.

Dr Steele appears to be tied up with the notes everyone is receiving at the hospital. And Dr Rothwell finally agrees for Deborah to be discharged. But she doesn't seem to want to go without him, and offers him a job. Paul has a heart-to-heart talk with Jill.

Jill Gordon tells Helen where she spent the night, but mother knows different. Deke Bolton gives Dennis a list of requirements to get Dennis off the hook. And it looks as though Sister Scott is responsible for Dr Wentworth's death.

EPISODE 92

Jill Gordon goes missing again, but this time doesn't come back. Sister Evans joins the staff and Sister Scott remembers her and her background from a previous hospital. Deborah asks Craig about his marriage plans.

EPISODE 93

Edna warns Martin about his attitude to Maureen. Deke Bolton contacts Dennis with some disturbing news concerning Jill Gordon. And Sister Scott makes a serious mistake in surgery.

EPISODE 94

Sister Scott is making more and more mistakes and everyone can see them. She insists it isn't her. Jill arrives back once again, with two stories, one for her mother and one for Dennis.

EPISODE 95

Julie's operation is due today. Dr Craig Rothwell has promised he'll be with her. But Deborah Kendall has other plans for him. He has to make a decision.

EPISODE 96

Helen Gordon ha a phone call from her son, Roger. He has embarked on a new career - with Georgie Saint and the Sinners. Craig keeps his promise to Julie and the operation takes place today.

EPISODE 97

Craig Rothwell gives his answer to Sir Thomas Kendall - and his daughter Deborah. Ada sees something she thought she never would. And Dennis gets another warning from Deke Bolton - Jill is the victim.

EPISODE 98

Dennis finally learns what it is that Deke wants and tomorrow is the deadline. He decides to talk to Dr Denham. Jill talks to Dr Barratt about it all.

EPISODE 99

Laura and Brian have a showdown over her involvement with the hospital and its organisation. Dennis makes plans and arranges to meet Deke - but Martin steps in and the whole thing backfires.

EPISODE 100

Deke and Dennis's argument comes to a head. It results in a gun fight outside the hospital and someone is shot. Sister Scott catches Tania making secret phone calls.
