Liz Kennedy goes out with Dr Forrest who wastes no time declaring his intentions. Kevin McAllister decides to solve the problem once and for all - by taking Maria back to Malaysia with him.

Maria finally makes her decision. Dr Denham sees a photo of Lois Norton and realises he knows her from somewhere.

Things look grim for Sister Jeffries, and Lois is no consolation. Dennis's final appearance on the quiz show is fun for Simon and Caroline, but not for Dennis.

Sister Jeffries is very ill, but the solution is only in the back of Dr Denham's mind. Dr Forrest fleetingly shows Liz Kennedy that he may just be human, after all.

Ben Fielding finds that his feelings for Liz Kennedy are stronger than he thought. Maria, feeling guilty about her family finding out the news from an outsider, decides to do something about it.

It seems that Charlie Wilkins's intentions for Ada have changed drastically. Ada receives a visitor who gives her some rather startling news about Charlie.

Dr Steele has a feeling that all is not well at his mother's farm, and decides to find out what is going on. Ada teaches Charlie his lesson once and for all.

Caroline's relationship with Simon Tanner is progressing rapidly, even though he does not know the whole truth. Dennis finds himself confused about his feelings towards Caroline.
