In response, Tania decides to use the money to buy Flint some driving lessons for him, to be taught by a famous retired racing driver. Newman attempts to explain his behaviour with Linda to Helen. Diana reveals a spark of romantic interest in David, whose interest in her is re-awakening.

Trouble in the Nick Barrett/Linda Wilson marriage. Forrest puts a stop to Ian Mitchell's research problem. Vicki Daniels gets into more trouble. Tania comes up against a man who seems destined to dominate her future.

The interns search desperately for the key that will give the old man back the will to live. Flint and Tim find the answer to the mystery surrounding Ted Wilcox.
