EPISODE 1076

Plans for Josh go astray. Caroline's baby is on the way. Newman is confronted by seemingly conclusive proof that his brother is a murderous psychopath.

Maggie finds out heartbreaking news about herself. Newman and Holland clash over Gloria. Caroline is given the wrong baby. Shaw proposes a marriage of convenience to Kate, and Mike Newman is mysteriously stabbed. Is he dead and who did it?

EPISODE 1078

Gloria is shocked about Newman, but how innocent is she? Pickard is infected with cholera. Danny Stevens runs away, taking Jody with him. Richard Quinlan takes over Denham's job and all wonder what Denham will now do with his life.

Mark learns frightening aspects re. the lecturer, Clive Gardener. Suspicion re Pickard falls on Danny Stevens. Steele reveals his true feelings for Maggie Gordon. Ada's in big trouble with her neighbour. Ben and Robyn Porter meet and pick up the threads of their romance.

EPISODE 1080

Steve Newman confesses to the murders but denies he tried to kill his brother. Robyn Porter decides to return with Ben to the Albert. Gloria makes a shocking revelation to Forrest and the police.

EPISODE 1081

Gloria is taken into police custody before undergoing psychiatric treatment. Dennis and Caroline solve the mystery of the baby swapping. Robyn discovers the truth about her new boss and is deeply disturbed.

EPISODE 1082

Robyn discovers that Richard Quinlan is her ex-husband and decides to leave the Albert. Ben and Quinlan persuade Robyn to stay on, Richard hoping to win her back and Ben not wanting to lose her. Newman tells Gloria that he will stand by her. Steve tells Newman that he has confessed to the murders. Newman has doubts and Gloria later recollects that Steve did not attack her. Holland flirts with Darcy, who takes his advances very seriously. Genevieve Ridgeway persuades a reluctant Holland to accompany her to a medical dinner. Mark Holland's report on the cholera outbreak disappears. Quinlan denies having received it. Later, Quinlan secretly shreds the report.

EPISODE 1083

An independent counsellor arbitrates in the war between Ada and her neighbour, and manages to do the impossible by having them end up friends. Gibbs is asked to a secret rendezvous at lunchtime and is happy to discover it is the wedding of Kate and Shaw. Richard is worried about the outcome of Danny and his cholera attack, and Jody is horrified when Danny takes a turn for the worse and dies in her arms. When Holland is called to an emergency, Forrest stirs by taking his fiancée to lunch - much to the annoyance of Holland.

EPISODE 1084

Ada and Mark receive the news of Danny's death. Jody returns and, although she is reinstated at the Albert, it is clear that she blames herself for what happened to Danny. A grief-stricken confrontation takes place between her and Mark. Arthur Shepherd leaves Ada's life to take his sister-in-law to Queensland, in the hope that the warmer climate will improve her arthritis. Maggie is improving rapidly now that she is sure of Steele's feelings towards her. Steele puts a rather vague and comical proposition to her. All is fine on the Shaw home front - Josh is settling in well and very happily, and the adoption plans are proceeding. Tania's friend from Melbourne, Wayne Archer, reappears, but it seems their relationship may be developing into more than a friendship. Denham has taken his enforced retirement philosophically. He decides to take French classes. He does not anticipate, however, that his young, attractive teacher will take an instant fancy to him and will make him a public proposition which he finds both amusing and embarrassing.

EPISODE 1085

Phillip Harvey's father returns from overseas. Denham tries to point out to Dr. Harvey that his son has problems, and tries to hint gently that they stem from basic father/son communication gaps. This is not well received by Harvey, until he gets a hint from the friendship that has grown between Phillip and Denham that Phillip might not be as hard to reach as he had thought. Caroline and Nicole go home from the Albert. Robert is obviously finding it the fact that he has a new sister difficult to cope with. Dennis and Caroline realise that it will take Robert time to adjust to the new family set-up. Helen is not too thrilled with the living arrangement that Maggie has organised for them both. And Maggie makes an important decision about her future which upsets Steele. Forrest advises Tania to find out more about Wayne Archer before getting past the friendship stage. Tania is surprised by Wayne's behaviour towards her after what she thought to be a perfectly comfortable dinner in her home.

EPISODE 1086

Annette Darcy becomes more and more obsessed with the idea of losing weight, despite Sherry's insistence that this won't help her make headway with Holland. Steele persuades Maggie to give more thought to her decision never to have children, but Maggie nonetheless visits a family planning clinic and is surprised to find Forrest on duty there. Ada takes a vow of silence to raise funds for Jody's quest, but finds the going considerably tougher than she anticipated. Tania unexpectedly encounters Wayne at a lecture, and they discuss his strange behaviour of the previous night. Holland, meanwhile, is beginning to have second thoughts regarding his engagement to Genevieve Ridgeway, and grows all the more uncertain when he learns she is attending an official reception with John Forrest.

EPISODE 1087

Gloria Stapleton is under psychiatric care and Mike Newman is urged to stand by her. Richard Quinlan proves he'll be a real threat to Ben and Robyn's romantic plans.

EPISODE 1088

Mark Holland finds surprise evidence regarding the missing cholera culture - and Robyn Porter and John Forrest get a big shock when they find out what Richard Quinlan has been up to. It could result in his dismissal.

EPISODE 1089

Caroline and Dennis spar over child psychology. Kate and Shaw are determined to give young Josh Cormack a happy home. And Mike Newman and Ben Fielding discover something shocking beyond words after Richard and Robyn talk confidentially at Ben's pool party.

Robyn admits that she pushed Richard Quinlan into the pool - and is very apprehensive about what will happen next. Caroline and Dennis are very worried when the realise son Robert bitterly resents his new baby sister, Nicole Denise.

Robyn is stunned to learn that she must face a coroner's inquest over Richard Quinlan's death. Shaw realises he must give evidence which could be damaging to her. Mike Newman is suspicious of Tania's new friend, Wayne Archer.

EPISODE 1092

Robyn is exonerated at the enquiry, but humiliated by what she has had to tell of her past. Maggie is hurt when Steele puts his daughter Jessica's welfare first. Maggie accuses Holland of being responsible for Annette Darcy's serious medical condition.

EPISODE 1093

Dolly Davis explodes into Brian Denham's life and gives him a shock from the past. Is she a stripper or astrologer? Maggie and Steele run into more conflict romantically.

EPISODE 1094

Tom Brennan enters Helen's life and sets her dreaming of house-building. Mark and Jody link up romantically again. Denham is stunned when Dolly gives him a surprise gift - which turns out to be flesh and blood 'bikini style'.

Caroline and Dennis are into stormy weather with their son and new baby. Denham's 'surprise packet' makes a beeline for John Forrest. Wayne Archer behaves mysteriously with Tania - which intrigues and bothers her.

Nurse Darcy's weight loss is alarming and Peter Holland is concerned. Tania is terrorised by an unwanted caller.

Mike Newman rescues Tania from her attacked, and wonders if he'll strike again. Dolly makes a career decision and Denham is startled.

Maggie fails to win over Jessica and Graham Steele is annoyed. Peter Holland sets his sights on Dolly and is surprised by her response.

EPISODE 1099

Robyn Porter feels the strain of her court ordeal and Ben Fielding wonders if it will affect their relationship. It's the final night of the Hospital Quest and Jody is nervous.

EPISODE 1100

Robyn Porter is asked to decide her future with Ben Fielding. Caroline Jamison is shocked by Robert's behaviour towards his baby sister.
